"Rotary Rocket"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

None.

General comments?

The car can easily outrun Porches costing three times the amount. My girlfriend will testify.

Try outrunning a 993 Porsche twin turbo then. That car would cost about three times what yours is worth on the second hand market.

Believe me that car would "BLOW YOU INTO THE WEEDS"!

Try not to make "idiotic claims", it makes you sound like a school child!

To be fair though, you're gonna have to be very accomplished behind a wheel to exploit all 600 horses effectively. And let's face it, those other than the few that would purchase a Porsche, such as this, for enthusiast/track day use, are purchasing it simply for the 'bling' factor.

The Mazda RX-7 is the winning-est model in IMSA racing history; far ahead of Porsche in the record books. It also has an outright Le Mans victory to its credit in 1991. A stock RX-7 13B Twin-Turbo engine also makes more horsepower per cubic inch than any production Porsche ever made. The 3.19 hp per cubic inch that the rotary produces is higher than even the Ferrari F40. In 1993, an RX-7 was found to be quicker around a track than a Porsche 930. Since the model Porsche you refer to is a current issue car, perhaps a fair comparison would be the Japanese Banzai RX-7 with the three rotor 20B engine. The result of such an encounter would undoubtedly leave any Porsche 993 driver realizing that they had just made an eager and presumptuous swing at Bruce Lee in a dark alley.

Ah, but wait a minute there, the banzai rx-7 is not a production model, a new ruf 911 with 800bhp is similarly tuned and would kill this piece of plastic nonsense on a track, sorry, but that's a fact.

Even a standard new turbo one would certainly be causing the banzai rx-7 problems.

It may be a nice car in its own little way, but as for beating porsches, unlikely!

Comparing a piston engined car to one with a rotary is like comparing coal to nuclear energy. Consider that the FIA banned the rotary engine outright from Le Mans after Mazda's stunning victory. The inherent advantages of a rotary powered car do not end there. A drag version of an RX-7 driven by Abel Ibarra makes 1700 hp from a 3 rotor 20B. Let us not forget the 4 rotor version of the rotary or 26B which is capable of even more power. There are rumors that Mazda will debut an all new purpose built RX-7 in 2011. Porsche on the other hand seems to be concentrating these days on building SUVs and such. Don't get me wrong, Porsche's prototype $500,000 RUF CTR3 is a fine car and it makes a claimed 700 hp from its flat 6. But ask any rotor-head with a router bit who has bridge ported a rotary engine to well beyond that figure how he feels about glorified Volkswagens with inherent rear weight bias he'll tell you or you can find out the hard way.
