"Still better than a new Dodge"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

The truck/beast was given to me by a friends father. The brakes were seized. After a gruesome overhaul of the brakes I replaced the tires.

General comments?

Big and nasty. Rust had eaten away most of the lower sections of the body. Not much left of the wood bed. The overly large 'Y' block motor spewed out fumes and leaked oil like a factory, but never the less it never failed to start even during the harsh winter months. Front end was in need of dire attention, I think the king pins were worn completely, thus creating white knuckle driving on the interstate. Never a pleasant ride. Smell of oil and blaring sounds only added to the misery of the tremendous effort to drive the thing. RED-NECK's love it...

I have had great luck with the one I own, sounds like you got a bad seed, lol. the truck is not really much on cozy, but I agree with the fact they will start in the worst condition. they don't make truck like this any more.
