"An immortal steel horse."

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Steering wheel plastic flaked off.

Rear window motors failed along with driver and passenger side window switches.

Numerous electrical problems concerning rear tail lights, blinkers, and radio.

4wd modes all cause horrid shuddering and painful clacking sounds (don't know why).

Transmission shudders in low gears.

General comments?

This car has handled over 3 owners and didn't begin having trouble until after 120~130,000 miles. I drive it very hard in the city and take it on long trips (San Antonio to Dallas, Austin, Monterrey, Mexico etc...) at least once a year. I like to drive fast and take it to 4000+ rpm frequently. It's a quick truck that handles great. The transmission troubles only happened recently, and it has weathered 3 accidents under our ownership with no complaint (It plowed through a BMW with a dented bumper and some radiator damage). It is a hand-me-down that keep on going regardless of abuse and lack of funds to repair problems. If Fluids are changed regularly, it runs great.

You got it right, an Immortal Steel Horse is the only way to describe this truck. Muffler and A/C are the most common plagues for them, but otherwise is the best SUV I could've ever bought.
