Not much apart from wearables, and minor things given the distance traveled.
An excellent purchase! My odometer today reads 270 000 km, and my 4 cylinder Corsica just won't stop! When you get to higher odometer readings, adding on kilometers becomes fun.
I have babied the car and it serves me well. I have kept it outside for the last three years and having done the rustproof once a year you'd be hard-pressed to find any trace of rust. The Corsica is reliable beyond expectations. I can't say enough good things about the reliability of this car. (My next purchase will be an Acura sport coupe, I know, again, I will not be disappointed.)
WHAT CEZAR SAYS: As a domestic vehicle the Corsica will be a good purchase for someone looking to buy a reliable car at a low price, provided it has been well taken care of. If over 200 000 k make sure to get high mileage oil like valvoline etc., it helps a lot.
PROS: Above average reliability, relatively quiet ride at 175 km/h.
CONS: Manual transmission not available, no cruise control on the 4 cylinder model.
Back after a while, I am now at 315, 000 km and still doing well. I have replaced a radiator, water pump and sometimes I get a little annoying problem with the coolant. This small car has clearly done its job.
I am looking at a 2001 Passat, but given the comments there, I am still afraid. If that VW would do exactly what the this '92 4 cyl. Corsica did for the last 7 years, I would buy it without second thoughts. The reviews are more against it than satisfied. It's hard to guess. Back again on the same review: I am now at 320 000 km - the Corsica is still alive and kicking! If this Corsica bore the Silver Star logo of Mercedes, I would still be happy with the way it served me! Transmission and engine - flawless - and otherwise almost no rust. I can sell it happily as I moved on and purchased a new car, and now my girlfriend has trouble parting with it :) )
Awesome. I wish GM made all their models today as reliable as this little one!
