"True to its claim, "4DSC""

What things have gone wrong with the car?

So far the only thing wrong with the car is the wiper linkage breaking. Other than that just minor and standard repairs such as brakes, wheel alignment, lights. I haven't had the problem with the windows others have had with the '94 Maximas.

General comments?

I like this car very much. I especially love the power the car has along with its low profile. The fact that a cop wouldn't think a four door family type sedan wouldn't smoke a sports car off the line is great.

The features the car has also makes it a pleasure to own. The heated mirrors caught my eye as I was shopping around for vehicles since I live in Alaska and have had the frustration with scraping ice off of my mirrors. While on the subject of winter I would like to mention the key-less entry which is my favorite feature. I could leave my keys locked in the car and would not have to worry about the car, where I left my keys or my locks freezing. This car handles great in the snow. Minimal sliding and lots of stability. With the engine block heater installed it not only keeps the engine toasty, but it helps with the climate control heater kicking into high gear. The adjustable transmission is also a plus. The comfort setting is just that along with the normal, and when I smell a challenge from the cocky teenager with the tricked out sports car in the next lane I switch the setting to power and laugh as he struggles to keep up.

I would definitely buy another Nissan. In fact I would love to have a brand new 2002 Maxima with the 6 speed manual transmission. Nissan "Shift".

I also own a 1994 Nissan Maxima GXE. I had it handed down to me after my brother was done with it. He had ragged on the car for a couple years. It still blows my mind how fast this car can pick up speed. I have had this car up to 125mph lots of times and it never gives me any trouble. I still beat most people drive 2000 models and higher of types of cars. Throw it into 1st manually, then slide it to 2nd after about 5000 rpm really speeds the car up. A lot of people don't realize the car only has 160 hp and to add on to that my car has 203000 miles on it, really puts them to shame. I'm planning to get another car and believe me, its going to be a new Maxima.
