Would think it would have a bit more power being a 1.8 E.F.I turbo.
I purchased a 1988 Nissan Bluebird SSS Turbo 4-wheel drive over four years ago and all I have had is problems.
First of all the Auto Transmission was slipping and required fixing, then a hole was found in the Air-conditioning Box and also required repair.
After a year the Radiator required resealing and then the Turbo went. (Expensive)
I booked the car into the Nissan Dealers and asked if they could check everything over and give it a Tune up because there was a Flat spot or a kind of jerking during acceleration. When I got the Car back the Turbo was fixed, but the Jerking was still present. The dealer stated they could not find the problem and hence the problem remained.
A Year and one week after the Turbo was fixed, it blew up again. As this happened one week after the warranty ran out, I was in for another huge repair bill.
I got sick of the problems and put the car up the drive for over a year and a half.
I have now got the car in the garage to be fixed up yet again and very expensive. I did not take the car back to the Nissan Dealer because I thought I did not get the service I asked for and being the Nissan Dealers they were very expensive.
I did not sell the car because I like driving it and it is so comfortable, especially on long distances. It is a good family car.
I must have purchased a dud because these kind of problems shouldn't be happening all the time, especially when serviced by the dealer.
This one isn't a SSS tho???
