New brake booster has also been fitted.
At 98000 miles the rear differential started to make some noise and had to be reconditioned.

The interior design provides excellent viewing from every angle and the dashboard provides clear information with a very sporty design.
The exhaust note is like music to your ears.
The handling is great and the four wheel disk brakes work well.
I believe that the 124 spider has met with an early demise simply because americans are very heavy on the accelerator and they believe in getting there in seconds even though that does not even occur in american cars however it is unfortunate that the spider came along a mite to early for its time right now would be the best time because of the gas shortage and the fact that it reveals a persons desire to be all sporty and saving fuel at the same time I was told by a very old Italian man who maintained my fiat until he retired is this every four months the car goes in for a complete tightening and I would pay a million dollars for this advice because it kept all parts of the vehicle from exhausting itself too early and therefore needing replacement believe me I have been driving without a care when others have said you must spend relentless hours maintaining that in order to have that kind of driving pleasure and I tried to tell them it was a simple and easy decision yet no takers well in the time that they spent enough money to buy another new spider mine still looks like the day I purchased it off the show room floor wow what a car and so sad it went the way it did too many people who were not responsible purchased or came into one and so you have these convoluted tales of wretchedness any vehicle will produce such tales even the most expensive with lack of knowledge and responsibility.
