"This truck is awesome"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Replaced my transmission at 129,000 miles.

Replaced alternator at 130,000 miles.

Put in carpet when I bought it.

And other than basic maintenance its been a great truck.

General comments?

The truck handles like a car.

I have got the truck 2 feet into the air over a railroad tracks.

Also got a flat next to the railroad tracks.

The interior is huge.

A 2wd truck that can go on a 4wd trip.

The back seat is big (hey hey)

Hey I have a 1987 Dodge Ramcharger and it is one heck of a truck. It has ran into a problem though. When I Hit the gas even a little it starts to over charge my battery. I have someone who wants to give me 100 dollars and her 1992 Dodge Dynasty that is in great condition, I would like to know if that is a good deal or would I get good money for the truck?

I just wanted to direct a comment to the responder with the over-charging battery. It sounds like your only problem is a faulty voltage regulator. That's fairly diagnostic, when you hit the gas, the amp needle pegs, and when you let off the gas, the amp needle drops to the other end of the scale on discharge. You can check it with a multi-meter voltage tester by following directions in the Haynes Manual or even the pamphlet that comes with a multi-meter tester. I'd hate to see you lose a nice truck for want of a 12-dollar part. I swear by the Haynes Manuals--I was ready to junk my Ramcharger until the manual walked me through the circuit testing and helped me figure out why it would mysteriously not get spark once in a while.

Hey, I have a 1987 Dodge Ramcharger that caught fire and was wondering if you knew anyone that had one for sell that was beat up or motor blown in it, because I need the wiring harness and the dash, and everything under the hood, to restore mine.
