For a first car, it's brilliant!! It has taught me how to drive in style!
I rented one of these between Christmas and New Year 2002 to drive between Wellington and Auckland. All I can say is a huge echo to the WOW!! expressed by this reviewer. It is the peppiest car I have ever driven. For an automatic, this is one impressive set of wheels. I had the boot/trunk completely loaded with luggage and two passengers. I couldn't even tell I had a load on. I would buy one in a heartbeat if I could get it in Canada.
I would also have to echo the WOW!!! You rock for driving an Astra!!! I just confirmed the buying of a new Astra after reading this review!!! Thanks a million, I'm soooooo happy I did!!!
I don't know what the hell is with this site as a review I posted only a week or so ago has disappeared , but while I'm still on this site I'd like to say I agree with this review!!!!
What does the speed dependant volume control do to the stereo, and how does it work???

The soft-top is fitted with the 192bhp 2.0-litre engine used in the Astra Coup
The Astra Convertible Turbo will be arriving in OZ in late april to early may!!! CAN'T WAIT!!!
