Air conditioner quit at 35,000, and had to replace compressor.
Problem keeping alternator belt tight to prevent squealing.
Normal wear and replacement of brake pads, city driving causes faster wear-out of pads.
Driver window roller problem.
Car has no serious mechanical problems.
Excellent car for running around town.
Daughter now drives and it is a great first car. I plan on keeping until it falls apart.
I have a 1994 Geo Metro that had the same problem with alternator belts squealing and eventually breaking after replacing the alternator (that I probably didn't need) and about 6 or 7 new belts, a family friend who has a garage took a look at it and the alternator wasn't properly lined up, I guess the bottom bolts needed to be tightened first and then the top, hope this helps anyone with the same type of problem, otherwise this car is a great little car and with the price of gas these days, it's even better.
