1983 Oldsmobile 98 Regency Broughom from North America - Comments

"A big boxy boat that gets up and goes"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Transmission went out shortly after I acquired it.

Emission control wires were badly eaten by mice after being stored in winters.

General comments?

It is very big, but handles like a new sports car.

The interior is bright with plenty of room for all my close friends.

Right now it is sitting until this summer when I have time to repair it after the car rolled when the back tire blew while driving on a gravel road on my way to Christmas dinner with my grandparents. The car still drives and I walked (ran) away without a scratch. The car, on the other hand has seen better days. Due to its very strong frame and supports the only damage is the front fenders and the very front edge of the roof. I have all of the parts to get it back on the road after I purchased a 1982 Ninety-Eight Regency shortly after that dark day.

Too bad they don't make cars like that any more.. My '84 Royale Brougham was quite bulletproof as well, it survived several crazy teenage drivers (myself being one) before becoming yet another victim of the Police impound truck. Oh well.. they can take the car, but they can't take the memories ;) Good luck getting yours fixed.
