I now have a stubborn engine light, I think it is the oxygen sensor. Other than that, nothing.
I love this truck. PERIOD. I have never owned a car that was so reliable. This JEEP is by far the best car I ever purchased as far as dependability goes. I don't ever want to sell it.
If you've got a good one don't let it go!!!
1999 JEEP WRANGLER SPORT (6 cylinder 4.0 Liter)
This is a great do-it-all vehicle. Off-road it is superior, on road it's not bad. I highly recommend having a hard and soft top, as during the winter having a rear defrost option is key. I have been thru 4 winters and have over 110,000 miles on my baby, and the heater is awesome.
REPAIRS & SLIGHT DRAWBACKS-The soft-top is a bit loud on the highway, but turning up the volume takes care of that. The gas mileage is also not great and the ride is not the smoothest. The sway bar connects are a very poor design, when you need to replace them I strongly suggest installing after-market quick disconnects. I have replaced the oxygen sensor and shocks as well. I replaced the shocks at around 60k, but they didn't need to be, this was when I added a 2" spacer lift and the kit came with new shocks. Besides that, I've greased and changed the oil regularly and she's run great.
OVERALL-I would highly recommend a Jeep to anyone. They are a ton of fun, great off-road, good on road, and great in the snow. There's nothing like cruising around with the top and doors off in the summer... and chicks dig them!! I will be putting a plow on my Jeep as well as my dad has a plow on his and it pushes without issue.
I have a tj jeep 1989.
2 days ago the engine light went on. Only that light is on, not my oil or any other.
Why did it suddenly go on.
