Some days when I turn the car off, for some reason it keeps running and the car shudders a lot when this happens. I am yet to find a direct cause of this problem.
It is very hard to guage the mileage from a tank of petrol in this car, as some days I can get more mileage than other days, even on the same trip.
The doors shut on their own. They will not stay open unless you physically hold them.
The door locks itself once the door is shut, unlike other cars, where you have to hold the handle up to get the front doors to lock.
This car is very comfortable and roomy.
My ford handles very well in the wet and dry weather.
The car is not to quick off the mark, but once she gets going, she moves well.
2 Things...
1. The reason why your car shudders and keeps running when you turn it off means your car is "Racing" which means, your car is revving too much and the rev's are whats keeping the motor going.. You need to get it serviced and explain the problem to a mechanic...
2. Would you recommend a car like yours???
My car was reving up and down when I had it sitting still, which may be a similar issue to what you are having, to fix it I oiled a large pin which sits under the accelerator hinge, if that pin doesn't move up and down then the car revs. And as far as fuel costs, I have a station wagon, and it uses less fuel than my mums brand new BMW and my dads 5 year old holden ute, so I'm not complaining.
If it's 'running-on', there may be carbon buildup in the combustion chambers, which gets red hot with normal running, and will ignite any fuel left in the cylinders, even after you switch off. The only cure is to take the head off and have it fixed by a mechanic.
