The stock starter just died at 138000 miles.
Stock muffler died at 105000 miles.
No major repairs have been made.
This Jeep is very practical for my needs.
It performs well when needed.
Handles great in snow, mud, sand, 3 feet of water, etc.
Interior resists heavy downpours when top is not on.
Electrical system resists sudden rain showers and heavy downpours.
I'm amazed that you and 2 other people on this web site claim to have 1996 model Wranglers.
That truly is an amazing feat, since Jeep went from the 1995 YJ to the 1997 TJ.
There is no such thing as a 1996 Wrangler.
Thanks for that last post, I was thinking about making a trade with someone for what they said was a 96 Wrangler
and I found this on Google..lol
so I emailed this info to them and got back..
I am sorry I stand corrected. My Jeep Cherokee is a 96 the wrangler is an 89. My mistake. Sorry. It is a 1989 Jeep Wrangler Laredo.
I found some good jeep info on this link regarding jeep specs
http://www.off-road.com/jeep/swb/articles/specgrid.htm.
I understand that '95 model year Wranglers were sold into the first half of '96 as '96 model year vehicles. There was no difference between '95 and '96, but the registration lists '96 as the year of manufacture.
