I have read several good review of the 2003 Tiburon, which surprises me. I am surprised because I have had several problems with my new Tiburon. I have taken my car in for service several times, with the hope of having a faulty the clutch fixed. The end result was that the car finally broke down on the side of a road in the middle of nowhere. Hyundai was not able to determine why the car failed, which included digital photos being sent to Vancouver, in an attempt to have them determine the problem. Ultimately, however, Hyundai felt it necessary to replace the engine after only 4000 km.
A few weeks later I received a letter from Hyundai, in which, notified me that the horsepower that was originally advertised was in fact, incorrect. At the time of purchase the car had 140 horsepower, six month later it was downgraded to 134. I have sent a few letters to Hyundai Canada to express my concerns with my car's history, which, six months later have not been answered. I would reconsider my Hyundai purchase.
There is a class action against Hyundai for the false advertisement of engine size. If anything you may want to see if you can be added to that list. You can find the information at: http://www.bigclassaction.com/class_action/complaint_form_hyundai.html.
