"A poor student's dream"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

The car needed new tires when I got it.

Needed a new alternator and battery at 245000 Km's.

Burns a liter of oil every 500 Km's.

I raced a motor home and lost, that's how slow my car is.

General comments?

My car has only one option, a clock. No power steering or anything like that. It burns a lot of oil and is very slow. Other than that it has been great. Never lets me down. If you can't afford a newer car this is the car for you. The engine is very worn out and that lowers my fuel economy and power.

I've got a 1986 Toyota Corolla, I've had it for 8 years right through school and now Uni. It's a great car, reliable as hell, if something goes wrong with it theres a pretty good chance you can fix it yourself. Its done around 285000km and still going strong, does use a little oil though. Can't go wrong with a lo-rolla.
