Head gasket has gone requiring a new engine (this seems to be a common problem with this car)
The car was only 5 months out of warranty. I have since read several reviews about this happening. How are Land Rover getting away with it?? I think something should be done.
Every single 1.8 petrol freelander, has had or will have the head gasket blow. landrover say you have to replace the engine cos they knew how big the can of worms was going to be so they said change the engine for one reason only... they can turn round a bigger profit in a shorter space of time, regardless of whether you could afford it or not.
