When I first got it I thought the clutch was worn/warped because shifting was rough, though there was no slippage. Later I found out the exhaust manifold had cracked and had a hole in it, causing lack of back-pressure. Replaced it and it runs fine.
Part of the steering broke, the last idiot to own it had 215/60 tires on it, they were hitting when you turned the wheel all the way to one direction.
Interior light switch is broke.
Light for the temperature controls is burned out.
Left door speaker doesn't work. Disconnected it and added 4 of my own speakers and a CD player.
I only paid 3000 for it, with low mileage for a (now) 10 year old car, and in near perfect condition.
Handles like a charm, you really notice the anti-sway bars when you throw it hard into a corner. I know it's not a sports car, but I can't help it!
The five-speed manual helps give the car beefy low end power, and excellent gas mileage (26 in winter, 40 in summer). It purrs on the freeway between 65 and 90, running smooth as glass in overdrive.
The ride can be a little rough at times, though the new McPherson struts helped.
The wind noise gets pretty loud on the freeway.
No air conditioning, but a moon roof, no variable speed windshield wipers, no tilt steering wheel, and no rear window defroster!
I haven't had any problems with the factory Radiant Red paint, and it really turns heads when it's clean (blasted road salt!)
No rust, I love Chrysler bodies!
All in all it's a great economy car, yet still has enough attitude to pommel other four cylinders over the head on the weekend.
This was a decent review. It seems that, overall, the author likes the vehicle quite well. I only wonder why he or she choose to select the blue "frowny face" instead of the neutral or smiley face. Very often I just look at the "faces" to make an initial decision about the car. In this case, the "face" didn't match the review.
