Fragile 4x4 system has had the pressure switch fail 3 times in a year at £90 a time.
A fast car that won't easily be beaten. This car has awesome grip and cornering ability, and an outstanding equipment specification. It's running fine with 110,000 miles and still turns heads after 10 years.
Looking to buy one of these, but are they 4x4 all the time?
Thanks
SD.
Not all the time.
Can you easily change the 4wd Cav's to 2WD's by taking a fuse out?

It's pointless removing the fuse and turning a 4x4 into a 2WD, It won't behave the same and if I am correct, gives problems with understeer and/or oversteer by chucking too much power to the front wheels at the wrong time.
Basically don't do it.
There's also the weight issue, you lose about 70bhp due to the 4x4. 30bhp on the 2WD so 4x4 is 80 @ the wheels, 2WD is 120 or so.
Do you know where I can get a cav 4x4 workshop manual from as it would be a great help.
