2002 Citroen Xsara Break SX from Croatia - Comments

"Good if You are driving less than 20 000 km per year"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

ABS alarm "total stop" at 200 km.

Level meter of diesel "re calibrated" at 10 000 km, causing stop without fuel (reserve was less than 4 l).

Left blinker control destroyed after 20 000 km-took them 6 days to fix it.

General comments?

Computer reseted 4 times in 7 months.

Lumbago support on seats badly needed.

Noise from road is quite havie with winter tires (Michelin Alpine Pilot premacy 195/55/15).

Normal tires or mechanism is also noisy.

Consumption of diesel (90HP) is over 6 l/100 km.

Eating 1l of oil on 20000 km.

Perhaps the oil problem plus poor fuel consumption is related to your fast driving (revving too hard). If any car is run in properly (exactly as it says in the manual) for 2000miles and change the oil very regularly, the engine should never consume oil. I have a little scooter which has covered 20,000 miles and it doesn't consume any oil. If this is with a tiny engine, why should a huge diesel engine consume oil???

I would suggest you try a decent dealer then as I have now had Citroen's for the last five new cars and have had no problems at all and the 2.0HDi is an superb power unit OK not the most economical on the road, but at least it is not a darn

Volkswagon thing..

Cheers Pete.
