"A real sports car looking for an real engine"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Replaced the original Clutch which held up for 300,000km.

General comments?

I bought it originally instead of renting a car, and only planned on keeping it for about two weeks (it was that cheap).

It handles like no other car available for even three times the money. I have embarrassed drivers of some very expensive sports cars on winding roads.

The interior still doesn't look overly dated like most cars from this era do, and has a very hight level of materials, fit, and finish.

The engine in this car was a let down. It was more reliable than anyone could ever wish for, but it lacked the performance that the rest of this car was designed for.

I completely agree. The reliable SOHC & DOHC engines leave a lot to be desired in terms of power especially when compared to the car's awesome handling capabilities. I've managed to get a hold of an SR20DET and it really makes the car come to life. My only complaint is that rust tends to form from the inside of the car rotting its way out through the firewall behind the frame channels running down either side of the car.
