"A load lugging beauty"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Nothing, although when I bought it, the heated seats did not work (wire came off under seat to thermostat)...easy repair.

Brakes squeal caused by previous owner not replacing shims on rear brake pads and using copper ease (a copper based lubricant)

Alarm immobilizer is a bit erratic when pressing key fob... works 8 times out of ten.

rear tailgate rattle cured by volvo update kit to strengthen clip retention...fixed in an hour

General comments?

The car is perfectly reliable,no rust!! steers well, very quiet and is a real bargain due to the fact that the expensive components are well made and of course safety is assured with more airbags than a bouncy castle.

My 850 boot rattles a bit too (clips break, but can be replaced and fixed) - but a great car - very smooth, very reliable and although a bit juicy, worth every penny. It's 10 years old now and quieter than my wife's 2004 reg 7 seater!

Quality lasts.
