1998 Ford Escort Osprey from UK and Ireland - Comments

"Cheap to run workhorse"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Thermostat failed after 2000 miles (at 32,000 total miles) and thus was replaced.

Rear windscreen brake light began to let water through.

Parcel shelf suspenders snapped a few days after the car was purchased.

General comments?

A respectable looking car from the outside; when issued with the standard boot spoiler.

A smart looking interior, although it is incredibly uncomfortable.

Fuel efficiency is impressive, especially during a cruise on the motorway.

I have to say that your comment is way of the mark, with regards to the cheap running costs I mean my osprey revs high all the time and when I used to be in the army I would drive to Edinburgh from york every weekend and the return trip would cost me over 50 pounds, 5 pounds more than my 1.8 vectra sri so your findings are very false and blind sorry.
