"I guess you get what you pay for... Cheap unreliably thrill"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

-Clutch went a month after I got it.

-Leak in power steering hose.

-ecm went.

-front brakes done.

-hood latch broke.

-wheel bearing makes noise.

-emergency brake cable broke.

-driver side power door lock doesn't work.

-heater core went.

-heater fresh air vent clogged with dust so didn't work untill I got it all out.

-shop replaced the computer 3 times before they figured out it was a wiring harness causing electrical problems

-spark plug leads got fried somehow.

General comments?

Too many things have gone wrong in only 2 years of owning this car. very poor reliability, and very poor build quality. Everything on the car seems like it has been made as cheap as general motors possibly could.

However the 3.1 v6 motor is very strong, its fast, handles awsome, fun to drive and comfortable.

Also looks very sharp for its age and price, great looking!!

Interesting..

I own a 1992 Z24 and I've replaced a lot on the car as well, although try and find a nicer looking 1992 compact. The Z24 is baby muscle. The torque is f***in' mean. The horsepower is not something to whine about either, though I'm rebuilding another performance 3.1 to drop in it. As for replacement parts I've had to deal with: Alternator, 2 batteries (had an electrical draw), starter, computer, spark plugs+wires, oil pan, front pads twice (I drive the car pretty hard), calipers+drums (got new ones, painted them).. some may consider that a lot, but I don't care. I love my car. Sorry to hear about your misfortune.
