"A good low cost family car"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

The front disk brakes had to be replaced at 105000kms.

One door window handle broken.

General comments?

The plastic of the dashboard was not very nice.

Excellent resistance to rust after 10 years, the car seemed new.

Lots of space inside, generous width and leg room, very good visibility, large boot.

Considering its weight, the 2141 is fast enough, cruising at 150 km/h on the French motorways (not legally permitted).

Starting very easily in winter, but it doesn't like hot summer temperatures : the radiator is hidden behind the left headlight and gets very little air!!

Fuel consumption was surprisingly reasonable : 7,5 liters / 100 km running on unleaded petrol.

The steering wheel had 4 and a half turns from one side to another : that's too much when parking.

Good road behavior, but poor

brakes.

I have myself such a car, I bought it at 123000 km, and now it has 190000, I have to rebuild the coach 2 years ago and the engine in this spring. The car is very reliable and very powerful. I live in Romania and the roads are crap, with big holes in concrete, and despite this, I replace the pivots and shock absorbers only once. I have big problems with the brakes, but I replace it, and now it's OK.
