"Powerful enough for me!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Electric window master panel had a milkshake spill on it years ago by me (it was grandfather's car).

Fuel pump replaced.

Air Con levers dodgy.

Boot seal replaced.

General comments?

Having driven an 83 Laser and an 87 Accord for the past 5 year's of being a licensed driver, I can tell you I'm seriously impressed with the smooth yet ferocious power under my foot.

My grandfather sold it to me for $3000 last Saturday, and with only 150,000k's and an engine you could eat off, I'm beside myself.

I spent 5 hours applying a cutting compound/polish, put some cheap chrome rims on it, and it has been born again, a real head turner.

A classy, rust free metallic maroon with mint condition classy interior.

Handles a lit up corner with VERY little slide and will have you wondering if the back wheels were even spinning in the first place.

If anyone could tell me what this machine is actually worth I'd like to know!

Hey in response to your entry, I'm please to tell you that now the V.L. is only worth about $1500-$2000. well that how much i would only pay for one, but then again it's a reliable car. also i would still prefer the Honda Accord 1985/87 because it more fun to dive, small and enjoyable. so yeah that's only my comment so don't take it seriously as you did ask for an opinion.

So yeah

Don t listen to him it all depends on the car it self yeah you could buy for 1500 but it will be crap and probably has problems like I bought one for a lot lot more and its worth every cent. no rust mags power everything tinted windows rebuilt gear box and engine 4500 grand stero its chiped exhaust bran new paint job leather interior all for 6000 that's the best thing I could do and its worth it people might say your wasting your money, but in the end if your happy with don't worry okay later kack.

I agree with the second guy! The first guy should stick to his crappy little hondas, because he obviously knows nothing about vls! If he can find me a vl for $1500 that has rims, is straight, has an immaculate paintjob, is reliable and has only 150000kms... well you get what I'm saying.

From what I have heard, depending of course, it sounds like its worth at least $4000.
