Absolutely nothing has gone wrong, accept that it now needs a service and oil change, the usually stuff.
Interior is perfect with some mild trimming needed on the dash and down near the floor, other than that the car is flawless!
This is not the average 930 Turbo.
The 930 came standard with a 3.3L Turbo holding around 330bhp combined with a 4 speed manual.
This one harnesses a 3.6L Turbo with complete working. 6 Speed gearbox and over 480bhp make this one hell of a car. The usual increased turbo size and intercooler has been done as well as the exhaust, however it is the next step after that, which sees things begin, the engine has been bored from 3.6-3.8L, which is enormous and also a Boost control has been added, so that the car is basically... A ROCKET
Timed 0-100km h is done in under 4 seconds and this can be achieved in 1st gear second gear sees 185km h so the rest is up to your imagination because I am not keen to test the theory on Australian roads, and it couldn't be known the true poetential even on the track.
The car has a custom Blaukpunkt system that is awsome.
However where most race cars look average and what they lack in looks make up in for I performance, this car fails. It has staggering performance: the grip and speed is incomprehensable, it also has the looks to go with it. Large polished rims that are suited to the car and exceptionally tastefull rocket it along the road, and an RSR wing squats the tail down. Also CS front end keeps it rigid and on the road, also a front kit helps the aggressive appeal of a 911 Turbo.
This car is seriously crazy and it has to be seen to be believed.
The paint is a purple candy which is truely stunning especially late in the afternoon.
My mates call it an investment gone crazy. Who cares you have to love something other than your wife otherwise you never know what your missing.
Sounds like a fantastic car, but I find it very hard to believe it can pull 185 km/h in 2nd gear!? At 32,000 rpm when the extra jet engine kicks in perhaps.
Hmmmm...185kmh in second gear. That means your redline must be at around 13,700rpm, assuming you accelerate from 0-185 in second (maximising kmh per 1000rpm). Moron.
185 km/h in second gear eh mate??? I doubt that very much. Your car (if it isn't a figment of your imagination) would have, by now, been long off the road with a seized engine if that stunt had been repeatedly attempted. 185 km/h in second gear equates with the engine spinning at over 16000 rpm, not even Porsche engines are THAT strong. Mate, come back down to reality and keep your hand off the bullshit lever in future please.
Must be a 7 yr old who had a dream after sitting behind the wheel of his daddy's parked 911. That's impossible dude. Lay off the video games.
Well, 185km in second gear does sound like someone is blowing their own trumpet...But, my friends stock standard Holden Commodore with c.195HP gets to 120km in 2nd gear - I've seen it. He's running a 3.8 V6 in a 4 speed auto, so obviously his gears are longer, but if that car can do it with 195 horses, then a Porsche with 450HP (or whatever it was) might be able to as well. Of course one wouldn't attempt it too much as such long term abuse can only be detrimental to the car.
I own a Porsche 930 3.0L (no mods) and it does 145-150km/hr in second gear at approx 5500 RPMs so a 3.6L may be able to do this. I would be more dubious about the 100km/hr in first gear although it too could be possible in a 3.6L.
In response to everyone above, I also owned a nutty 930, although not quite as mad. I was running around 400hp in an '86 3.3, and that was more than enough, believe me. This model of car was not designed in the same fashion as the cars you drive now, and until you have driven one you won't understand. Firstly, it does have only four gears, but more importantly the fourth gear is really only an overdrive. The first gear on a standard 4 speed 3.3 of this age will comfortably achieve speeds in excess of 50mph, and the second around 110mph. This should give you an idea as to whether he is telling the truth or not- he is. Sorry people, go and drive one- they are insane machines which really do feel much faster than anything around now. The reason is simple, although they only have 300hp as standard, they have 300hp pulling you along for an awfully long time. When you put your foot from start you will only achieve around 100hp until around 2000rpm (about one and half seconds), then around 230hp until around 3500rpm (about 2 seconds later), then the full 300hp kicks in without any warning at all until you change up at 6500hp. Remember how long each gear is! Most cars won't peak their hp until the last 1 or 2000rpm, when the cams kick in. This car holds maximum hp and torque for over 50% of each very long gear. 30 to 50mph times are untouchable by any other standard sports cars even today. Second is just as mad,60 to 110mph is no less impressive. With third and fourth pulling you along with an eternal shove in the back. Why do you think people say, 300hp...feels more like 3000hp!
