Rear Parcel Shelf would not sit correctly.
Water leak in rear left pillar.
The 'New' fiesta chassis is a big improvement over the old chassis.
Handling for a bottom of the range model is outstanding.
Engine lacks top-end power, but makes up for this shortcoming with just enough torque.
Have driven the zetec (1.4i 16v) model, which has more than enough power and torque.
No grab handles on either of the models driven, which is a big oversight.
Split component CD player is an obvious attempt at forcing the purchase of official Ford replacements (expensive).
Dealer help has been difficult to attain. Parcel shelf problem yet to be rectified and water leak took several days to solve.
Optional extras really start bumping the price up. Bottom of the range Finesse offers best value for money.
Hmm, I have to disagree with your comment that the Finesse is the best value for money - in my opinion it is one of the worst. For about a grand extra (if you shop around), you'll find a 1.4 Flame, with metallic paint, alloys, bigger engine, heated front screen, electric windows and mirrors, front fogs, body-colour full-height bumpers... in the Finesse you just get a load of blanking plates where the luxuries should be and ugly black plastic round the bottom of the car. So do yourselves a favour and don't get a Finesse!
I have to agree with the initial comment. I have just purchased a metallic black fiesta finesse. it is one of the fastest 1.25 16valves. it has a quality CD player, and is a rear head turner.
