Well where do I start...
First the cam shaft sensor (£150)
Idle Control Valve (£125)
ABS Control Unit (£600)
Cranshaft sensor.
Then the idle control valve again, dealer suggested an oil trap to be fitted as a remedy (£250).
Every single gaskit possible has been replaced and there is oil still leaking (£300).
Remote central locking, don't even bother pressing the button, it is quicker to put the key in and open the door.
Rattling and crackling of dash and seats, it is honestly very poor for a car of its age size and look.
Drinks petrol like no bodys business.
The new model, I bet it is just a fancy shape and nothing more, vectras have so many sensors and electronics in place, it has become a money making web for them. At the flick of a light thay suggest a diagnostics be carried out (40 quid a go).
I will never buy one again, am seeking for an AUDI, BMW or maybe VW TDI.
No body take this personaly, but the Germans build the best cars.
I do believe the opel vectra is a German car!
Buy the Opel version, is much better.
To be honest, all new cars are filled with sensors, not just the Vectra.

"Vectra is just a fancy shape and filled with many sensors and eletronics"? With all respect, but is not just the Vectras is filled, with "so much, sensors and electronics", all cars now are filled with those things...But, what can I say? He had previously a "Boxy" and "Pre-Historic" Volvo 740.
No. The Opel version is just as bad as the Vauxhall. The only difference between them is the position of the steering wheel.
And yes he had a Volvo 740 which despite of its boxy shape it's a far better car than the rounded V***ra.
