1996 Renault Laguna V6 Baccarra from UK and Ireland - Comments

"A real 'wolf in sheep's clothing'"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

So far the only faults are with the electric front windows, which only raise or lower by an inch at a time. This may be an easily rectified fault (or not!). I've yet to investigate it fully.

General comments?

This car surprised me.

I did not realize that they were so fast!

It also stops well, and is very smooth at speed.

The leather seats are very supportive and comfortable, and with all the other standard fittings makes for a very well appointed car.

Far more to these top of the range Lagunas than I ever imagined.

The second hand values are now really low, and therefore they are a bit of a bargain!

Had the same problem with my Laguna Baccara V6, the windows that is... Was fine until I changed the battery, problem lasted for a few days then sorted itself out..

But all in all the best car I've owned, superb car.. will be holding on to this one.. ;-)

I have had my Laguna V6 (R registration) for eighteen months and find it a car on a par with my previous Saab and Volvo vehicles. It has superb comfort with the leather seats, and there are so many electronic features that I am left with only two short - heated front seats and headlamp wipers. It is a very powerful car indeed, but expensive to have serviced and naturally, I imagine, spares are dearer. One of its endearing features is its voice which tells me of any fault or if I have left the lights on. A thoroughly good car. It might be heavier on fuel, but its comfort is well worth the extra expense.
