Very little has gone wrong with my Beretta. The fuel pump started to go out at 200,000 miles, and the water pump went out at 220,000.
Other than normal maintenance, I have spent less than $500 on the life of this vehicle (1990-2003 and 286,000 miles).
Great car, best I've ever owned. Never let me down, great performance and handling, very good gas mileage considering how speedy it is.
Unfortunately I was T-boned by a drunk at 286,000 miles, but it still runs (despite the bent rear axle).
Hi.
I completely agree. I posted a review last month for my 1990 GT/Indy. I bought it new and still have it. I can't get over the fact that almost nothing has gone wrong with it in 240,000 plus miles. Now you say you've had the same experience.
I have always said Chevy makes good cars. But people love to rag on them. The Beretta GT was one of their best in my opinion. Especially with the manual trans. An unsung jewel. Congrats.

I too have put in my opinion of this car. This is the first car I have owned that has given to me more than it's fair share. I actually KNEW about Chevy shelving the Beretta design before I bought my Indy, but bought it anyway, and I'm still driving it today. It's on it's way to a very healthy 200,000 miles.
Who says japanese cars are the only cars that keep on giving?
-Indy or not Indy, that is the question. Don't say no unless you've tried the best. Chevy!
I own a 1990 Beretta GT. The only things I've had to replace are the exhaust, brakes, and water pump. The car is still being driven and has 309,650 miles on it. This car just keeps going. I got rear ended while I was stopped, the truck that hit me was doing 30MPH and all that happened to the car was a bit of plastic broke off the trunk and the bumper and trunk were pushed in a half inch. The truck front end was crinkled like an aluminum can. This car is THE best car I've ever owned. I will continue to drive it till it decides it doesn't want to drive anymore. Who says Chevy doesn't make a decent car!!
Yea we have a 3.1L Beretta that we have put on around 10000 clicks on it and it has 230000 clicks and it is quite powerful. Chevy`s are good cars if you take care of them. mine gets around 27-31 mpg.
