"A reliable fun efficient vehicle"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Nothing.

General comments?

I have had 6 different cars and this one has already been my favorite. I bought this car off a man who babied the car. He gave me a folder about 6 to 8 inches thick of reciepts of all the things that was done too the car. since he purchased it brand new. He put a new clutch water pump battery and replaced everything on the front end the car has little rust. I paid 1200.00 for a flawless vehicle. Needless to say i got a deal since then i have nothing but good things to say about the car. The car is a surprisingly fast car it goes up to the redline no problem i would have to say 2nd and 3rd gear are amazing. And when you go to the gas station and realize you are getting 30 miles to the gallon you can do nothing but smile. So as i push a button to pull back the sun roof and throw on some sun glasses and blare my radio I can only thank the man who took such good care of my car. I am planning to get a quarter million miles out of the car and it should be no problem.

The other day I was driving next to a camaro looked like a 92 with dual exaust so I beleive it was a v8, anyways we were rolling at 45mph and raced up to 90 I won. I still cannot beat mustangs, though I plan on paying off the car and getting a paint job because of the rust showing through I think they all do that. its red now... and its going to be a pueter gray with tinted windows and a few upgrades... such as a cold air intake with a k@n filter... I also heard those "Tornadoes" that you see on those infomercials late at nite when insomnia sets in... anyways Them tornadoes are supposed to be a $70.00 supercharger that may give 15 to 20hsp when all said and done I should have 40 to 50 more hsp for under $300.00

So look out you V8 wielding mustang gas guzzlers...

Ill be out thier in an ominous looking grey escort.

I'm going to call BS on that last comment. Granted, the Mazda BP engine is fairly potent for a 4 cyl., but without forced induction or serious motor modification it's still only a 16.5-17 second car. You might be able to keep up with a 6 cyl. automatic through the mid-range, but come highway speeds you'll fall on your face.

Hmm, well I've seen 5-spd 91-96 EGTs running in the high 15s without boost and without the JDM engine swap so I wouldn't count on that 16.5-17 second ET thing being true, also, I've heard a bit about the 1.8L that comes stock is good in the top-end and the JDM 1.8L swap being good in lower end, but I do have to agree with you on the first comment being BS. You'll never see 40-50 whp increase from just a cai and a POS tornado, more like 10...MAYBE. The camaro you took on was prolly almost completely stock, and more than likely a V6 with a dual exhaust, the point is, our car's curb weight is about 2350 and the camaro's happens to be about 3100...that is a huge difference in weigh and power ratio. Feel free to point out anything here you think is wrong. P.S. those little so-called superchargers and turbochargers you put in your intake dont give you anywhere near the whp they say they do, and from what I've heard, there is a chance it can get sucked into your intake manifold and cause some damage.

I think you people should take it easy and take notes for stupidity listen to your selves a escort gt beating a comaro, bla bla so what hew cares if you like it tune it up fix it up plus a escort beating a comaro it dont mater if it's a v6 it's a excuse and it seams like everyone has one day after day as for bp05 or bpt motors hew cares about stock sucks.
