The truck was delivered with a small dent in the drivers side door.
At 500 miles, the suction line to the fuel pump started leaking, allowing air into the fuel system, causing poor performance. It was easy to fix.
The truck has had a slight lean to the drivers side. I suspect the suspension needs to be shimmed.
At 20,000 miles, the transmission had a coast clutch failure, resulting in loss of engine braking.
This truck has lots of power. It is comfortable and easy to drive for such a large vehicle.
The transmission is the weak link.
I agree with the ratings on this truck. Looks good, but acts bad when old. Gone through 2 transmissions so far with 21,000 miles on it. Shift points are off when towing under recommended weight.
I recently sold my 7.3 Turbo Diesel F250, it was a great vehicle and towed my large RV easily whilst delivering excellent fuel economy. I recommend to anyone who owns a 7.3 diesel to fit a "Supa Chip" to the engine management system. It turns a very good truck into an excellent truck.
Lol is seems that most ford trucks seem to have a lean to them... even old ones and new.
