1991 Chevrolet Lumina Z34 from North America - Comments

"The best thing I bought for this car is the for sale sign"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Two timing belts.

Three alternators.

The exhaust system rusted out two times.

Intake gasket.

Rear motor seals.

Driver side door handle.

Air cleaner box froze one winter and cracked.

Changing spark plugs and alternator is a nightmare.

Windshield.

Tires.

Two battery's.

Replaced front struts.

Oil pressure gage doesn't work.

General comments?

This car is a quick and fun car to drive, when it is running.

The motor was put in with a shoehorn, so changing the alternator is a $400.00 touch.

Every part that I bought for this car is so expensive for a domestic car.

On the other hand, I have beaten 5.0 Mustangs, and Z28's before, but I am probable making this up, because we should never race on the streets.

The car is a dream on the highways.

I have seen this car get over 31 mpg before.

And it has lots of power when you need to go.

The interior is all Grey cloth in mine, so it gets dirty in a hurry.

The seats are comfortable, but the leg room is poor if you are over 6 feet tall.

This car has turned me off of domestic cars forever.

I have a 1976 Chevrolet C-10 half ton that is way more reliable than this thing.

This car has nasty body roll in a high speed corner.

Who ever designed this car should be shot.

Not to mention the rubber plug they put in the distributor hole right under the exhaust. who ever had this idea should go back to pre-school. pulling heads on a twin cam is a pain no matter what, but to go through this for a rubber grommet? I just hope it blows up when it runs out of oil. unfortunately, it just ticks.
