1995 Chevrolet S-10 LS from North America - Comments

What things have gone wrong with the car?

I have had this truck for 5 years (50,000 miles) and it has been terrific. I had a fuel pump problem at about 20,000 miles that one dealer had difficulty fixing after 3 tries. I eventually took it to another dealer in town and it was fixed on the first try. The cassette player broke at 30,000 miles. Aside from basic maintenance (battery, brakes, etc.) those are the only items ever to break on my truck.

General comments?

I have a 2WD automatic LS. Lively engine and good ride and handling for a truck. I use it for commuting, not hauling. I used the truck exclusively for moving into a house last year, and for various weekend hauling jobs from time-to-time. I would definitely recommend this truck to anyone. Sorry, mine is not for sale, I'll be keeping it for at least another 5 years.

I wholly agree with this commentary. I also drive an S-10, around fifty thou on it, just now it is starting to need a couple repairs. The exhaust system has rusted (that's what I get for living in New York), a couple things I did to it (broke left mirror, bent the bumper, etc.)

Only thing- the steel cable that suspends the spare below the bed has begun to unravel. I haven't replaced the assembly yet so no price tag, but once again, welcome to snowy New York.

Its a good truck and I find it to have relatively few problems. Its definitely a keeper. One complaint, those rear seats on the extended cab don't leave much room back there, but that's something else.

Jake.
