At 340000 miles it needed tune up.
Same day it failed to start and then needed fuel pump.
Same day as the fuel pump it needed a new head.
Dealer put used head in and when I got it back same day started knocking again.
Also radio didn't work after being in the shop for a week.
After used head they put a new head on and it was still knocking so they had to put a new small block engine in it.
After new engine, started to have trouble with fuel injector.
After fuel injectors started clogging, had to have fuel lines flushed several times.
Check engine light still comes on occasionally, dealer told me not to worry about it unless it never goes back off.
Also right drivers window seal is broken.
Passengers side sun visor is broken.
Console is broken.
Had to have new brakes before 30,000 miles.
I will never own another kia in my lifetime and advise people not to buy from Kia.
Cheap cars good warranty, but you will need it because it will be in the shop all the time.
I have had a 1993 Infiniti J30 for 4 years now. I got it at 73,000 miles and now it is at 325,000-mostly New York City bumper to bumper traffic and Highways from New York to Florida and the car had been completely reliable. I am still on the original brake rotors, original alternator, power steering pump, fuel pump and all original suspension-I have never changed the struts and the car still rides very smoothly; if only a little bouncy too. The only thing that went wrong was the transmission at 83,000- I think it was due to the previous owners neglect. I changed the timing belt and water pump at 180,000. I changed the fuel filter and fuel lines at 175,000 miles and flushed the steering fluid and transmission at 190,000 miles. I changed my own brake pads like every 45,000 miles and due an oil change every 10,000 miles with mobil 1 synthetic and fram oil filter. These cars are superbly built and engineered. I am looking to keeping it for another 300,000 miles and a lot of the comments I have read about infiniti's, acuras-hondas, nissans, toyota-lexuses are along these lines. I am not sure why KIA even sells cars in america. Whenever I see one and hear the problems owners have to put up with I am glad that I own an infinti and the car was inexpensive to buy in the first place. I only paid $11,000 for a 6 year old car with 73,000 miles and considered it a bargain.
These are all good and bad comments (my opinion) but kia is an all right car FOR A OLD WOMEN, but I guess my brother is one he has one and the check engine light came on. We went to auto zone and they said its a cylinder mifire can you tell me what he can do to fix it? mosesp254339@yahoo.com contact me when ever you can.
