"Chevy's Suck"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

My Sterring wheel locked up so I took it back to my dealers ship and they said nothing was wrong with it then about a few weeks later. My car almost killed me, the sterring wheel locked up again and a bus almost ran head on to me, I thank god I'm still alive.

General comments?

My car only has around 24,000 miles, and I am having engine trouble. There was a noise in the engine and my dealership has had it for two weeks already and they just now took the engine apart and they said they could keep it up to a month. I think that is a joke. If there is one thing that I learned that is to never buy an Chevy vehicle again.

It is interesting to read about the strange engine noise. My 2001 Chevy Malibu only had about 29,000 miles on it when I began to notice a distinct ticking noise when the engine is cold. Now, the car has 35,500 miles on it, and the ticking noise is getting worse. Also blowers 1 and 2 also do not work on my Malibu either as I have read here many seem to be having the same problem. I have already attempted on three occasions to get rid of it, but due to poor re-sale value (for now understandable reasons), I am trapped in this car for quite some time.

I will never buy a GM product again.

The "ticking" noise that you hear is not a big deal. It does not hurt the engine. My Malibu has had the noise for the last 4 years and 30,000 miles and the car runs fine and gets me where I need to go. Just keep your oil changed at regular intervals and your Malibu will last as long as any other car.
