What things have gone wrong with the car?

Nothing.

General comments?

Previously had a 1.8 LS... which had endless irritating problems.

The 140 is a total transformation - stiffer and lower suspension, great torquey engine (K & N filter helps), better steering and C/R gearbox means it is a real pleasure to drive.

Plenty of kit too.

Wait until you have the cam belt break and the pisstons bend on you after 40,000 miles,

and driving at 30 miles per hour. it, s not a pretty sight.

I own a 1998 s reg and it handles well and I think it is great value for money. Not as quick as I thought it would be, but needs tuning, excellent.

Not a bad car, I have a 1999 saloon sri 140 in black, looks sexy, but the chasis is of a poor build quality and at 100k, I'm haveing a few problems with the engine, I would recomend one, but make sure its not from a boy racer.

Just bought a Vectra SRI 140 Estate last week end and done 400 miles in the last three days, am very impressed with the road holding and ride. Is also a fast car for a large estate.

Even better when you whizz past the Saxo boys!!!

I have had a s reg,98 140 sri and in 4 yrs had more or less no problems at all, the only thing I will say it that it seems to go through oil like its going out of fashion, was going to have a new one, but going for the signum in stead, but I would recommend a vectra any day of the week.

I've got a 1999 V reg SRi 140 ex Police car, It still drives great and looks nice too. I changed the cam belt myself in about 2 hours, most things are easily accessible. Well recommended...
