This car is one quick little 4 cylinder.

Before making any mods to the engine I was able to drag-off 6 cylinder VL Commadores.

After adding a sports exhaust, extractors and a pod filter, this little beast has the measure of most of my friend's 6 cylinder cars. They can't believe they were beaten by a Camira.

For anyone who wants a weekend project, i'd suggest doing up a JE Camira.

Extractors on an efi car...???

What are you on about, You can put extractors on an EFI, people do it all the time to skylins, VL's and commos.

My bro used to do skids in gear 1,2, and chearps in 3rd, but then his clutch ran out.

Face it guys a camira is quicker than Most VL 6cyl's.

I have a 2 inch sports exhaust. it alraeady had extractors on the car when I bought it. the old owner gave me the old minifold with the car. one day I decide to sell the extracors to a friend with a camira. we put the old minifold back on and the car went better!!! so we worked that the old mainfold was more than good enough to cope with modifiactions to these little beasts.

I once had a camira it was a jb I had to change the engine twice I then bought a VL. It was much better.

Camiras belong in the scrap yard.

Your absolutely dreaming if you beleive a camira will burn off a vl, Vl = 125kw standardm Camira = 60kw?? or less?

Stock VL 125kw? 114kw actually. Camira less than 60kw? The carby JB model had 64kw while the JE 2.0 efi had 85kw. While 85kw doesn't sound like much, don't underestimate them as they do go very well. A manual JE Camira will easily keep up or even beat an auto vl.

Its all in power to weight the camira has a better one than the VL. the camira is also easy to mod.

Any thing you do is an improvment!!! try 10kw by improving the intake system.
