No apparent damage as yet to the vehicle.
Although the computer display system can sometimes switch off without prior notice.
This car is to be quite honest is that of brilliance. It delivers superior handling, but with the aid of several systems such as EBD, and ABC. Unlike the previous S430 I had wich failed to deliver the same refinement that my present car does. Also it has the most superior luxury levels imaginable. just to name a few. leather upholstery, climate control, DVDTV, heated seats, heated leather steering wheel. Compared to my Mercedes its quite staggering (wich failed even to offer heated seats). But my only critism is the engine. It doesn't quite have the pull I was expecting. (maybe I expect to much. Please tell me if any one agrees with me on this point). But I may get used to the strange engine as time passes. Mind you I've only had it for a relitely short peroid. Colleuges often pass comment on the room in the rear wich is very adequate indeed. If I was to be to over critical the rear ashtray isn't quite large enough. But I don't particallly care. Mine in the front is fine. But I would advise any one to buy this great luxurious vehicle.
You claim your previous Mercedes S430 didn't even have heated seats, but all the V8 S-Class have them as standard. Maybe you never found the button. Not sure why you go on to say that the Bimmer is "more refined", yet rate it only 4/10 for comfort. Additionally, although your car is the 6.0-litre V12 variant (438bhp, 0-60mph in 5.4 seconds, 155mph top speed -- let's not forget it's a BMW V12 in the McLaren F1), you rate it only 7/10 for performance, declaring that it "doesn't quite have the pull (you were) expecting".
760 7 series is equiped with a 6ltr V12 engine it can accelerate 0-100 under six seconds. I am not sure why this person is saying why it doesn't have adequte power! Also the I drive system does not turn off! it stays on constantly! I am a owner of BMW 735I you can see my review! I can supply picture of my car, eve with 735I it does 0-100 around 7.4 sec and has lots of power, don't know why he would say the V12 6ltr seven series is lack of power!
Well I have to agree with the two comments, we have a 735i in the company car pool and although it is a little cumbersome you could never call it slow, cumbersome being relative as I have a Lotus Elise.
Note though that some foreign spec S classes do not have heated seats (Ireland for one).
