My GS300 accelerated even when my foot was on the brake for 2-3 second, it screeched forword and hit the wall my garage, made a big dent. It was scary thank God no body was in front of the car. It has happened few times before ignored it tinking it was nothing, but this time it was really scary. I found similar complaints by other customers on NHTSA web site. I called Lexus customer"s telephone help line. This was on weekend no body was there. I called my dealer, He was concerned, but he could not do much. I am going to call lexus on monday.
I think this may result in some serious accident, that is my concern.
I am sorry that happened. I am shocked that the dealer did nothing at all. I would have think that they, the dealer, would have taken the time to invite you to their shop to perform a general inspection of the vehicle. However, I feel you have one the best built cars in the world. If you are that unhappy with it, try owning a VW Passat.
While driving home from work last week, my Lexus 300 started stalling, then I heard noises coming from the dash, all display gages started to move back and forth, the radio started to fizz, and it completely stopped in the middle of the street. Then, a fire started under the hood. The fire was put out before it could burn the entire car. Has anyone else had a Lexus to catch on fire for no apparent reason?
