Alternator went at 100k taking the battery with it (300 bucks to get one with lifetime warranty)
Head lights burned out at 80k (sorry the field just looked so empty so I put this in)
Other than that nothing wrong.
I love this car. I'm 18 and drive it like its some kind of sports car, and it takes it. Has niffty power button on the auto trans that holds the gear shifts a little to get going faster.
I live in Chicago so we have snow (white slippery stuff) all over the roads. Trooper not only blasts throug 4 feet of it w/o a problem it also pulls out jeeps and other so called 4x4s.
If any one tells you that these things flip they have never driven one. When cornering you do get this nice body roll and a strong impression that it will flip on you,but just let go of the steering wheel and it levels it self off.
I would recomend you only use the exploding firestone tyres that came with the car. All the others for some reason have no traction.
Oh I love the way the cabin of the car is logically layed out. And the fact that you are sitting 5 feet above everone else is very cool.
Well to sum it all up after driving the ultimate driving machine (BMW 525),and spending too much time at the dealer for stupid problems that it had, i love the durablilty of this car. The Trooper even fools you into thinking it's some kind of sports sedan once in a while. and isn't it nice to know you can roll over most BMW with it?
Awsome review.
