The computer went at 20,000 miles.
The TCC solenoid went at 40,000.
At 45,000 a coil broke, which made it run on 5 cylinders I think.
Soon after the coil the engine had major idle problems like it was losing gas and wanted to die, but came to life after giving it gas.
The steering wheel always made a point to lock up and give you heck trying to unlock it. Sometimes it took me over five minutes to get it loose so I could drive.
The paint job went to heck in three years, chipped all over the place.
I'll have to say by my research done, corsica has always been a faulty car. Some of them had a string of luck and made it to 100,000 miles with out problems like it was a honda or a toyota. But 90 percent of them hurt a lot of people. Not a well manufactured car at all. I can honestly say that if everyone got together showing proof of their faulty car, Chevrolet would have to refund everyones money who got the bad car. THEY ARE LEMONS!
Hi I own a Corsica since it was new. A 1988 Corsica and aside from paint peeling and regular maintance I haven't had any problems with it the milleage on my Car Reads 244000 miles now and still goin strong.
I figure I could even get another 240000 miles out of it.
But I'm trading it in on a new Impalla...:)
