Replaced the air conditioner compressor, after I purchased the vehicle. cost around $350.00 after getting it recharged.
Great fuel economy with a big car ride.
I put 242,00 on a 88 park, and boy are these engines reliable.
This general motors platform are a great buy on the used car market, as most new purchases are made by older couples, who take care of their vehicles and perform routine maint.
Great ride, very comfortable with a touch of class. You must keep all of your service work up to date. Weaknesses are front disk brakes, some electrical systems and that auto trans must be serviced regular, Do this and you to can get 250,000 mile on a US car and still sell for $1500.00.
I am mow looking to get a newer model Park or Lesabre for my wife, her 1989 model just turned 180,000 miles. We will pass this on to our son and buy another Buick.
Hi
nice review gm is where its at... I believe there is nothing better than a 3800 I have a century (3300) with 297k runs and never ever fix things just change fluids!! A-1 its quick... plus own a mint 88 park ave leather every option poss. low miles 130k.
GO BUICKS!!
I inherited a 90 Park Avenue from my aunt in 03. It is white with red velour interior and only had 39,000 on it. It now has 68,000. Everything works, but did have to replace the struts and tires and the radio went bad. The 3800V6 runs great with 27mph on the road. The ride is tremedous. I own an 03 Eddie Bauer Explorer and 03 Focus as I work for Ford, but their rides do not compare to the Buick! This year the air-conditioning is running low on freon and R-12 is scarce. I only found 1 charging fitting on the system. Can anyone tell me if it is the suction or pressure side?
