"Better then anything GM and Ford have to offer in the small truck market"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

The Infinity stereo in this truck sounds very good, but I planned on replacing the headunit and adding subs days before I bought this truck. I think all OEM stereos are junk (even Bose),well the headunits are.

But any way the only 3 problems I have had is that the radio antenna wire got cut in half by the pasangerside door hinge.

This may have been my fault not Dodge's fault. I may have moved the wire when installing my new headunit.

I did not take it to the dealer to fix because I may have caused the problem.

I fixed it myself and it was very easy to do.

My second problem was that the Goodyear tires the truck came with wore out @ 22,000 miles. But I knew Goodyears suck. I just wish Dodge would put a differnt brand of tires on from the factory.

General comments?

My Cheby Stuckarodo was bigger, but it was bigger then I needed, and I got tired of the adding oil to the oil burning beast every 1100 miles. I was looking at buying a S-10 or a Ford Ranger. I almost was going to buy the Ranger till found out it would not tow my boat. I just stopped looking. I even thought about just buying the Ranger and keeping my Chevy to just tow the boat.

Then on a fishing trip I saw a guy with the same boat as mine and he had a Dakota. I never even thought about a Dodge before, never noticed them.

The next day I went to the Dodge dealer and test drove a green Dodge Dakota clubcab. It had a lot more room then the ranger and S-10.

It also had a better ride then my Silverado and it made the s-10 and ranger seem like clown cars.

Anyway I bought the Dakota and I am kicking my own ass for getting sucked by GM's bullcrap hype.

I will be buying the new Durango when it comes out just because the wife said we need a famy car now, plus it will have a Hemi. thank you DMC.

Finally someone else has seen the light. I've been buying Dodge prodocts a long time, and the Dokato is the best small truck available. It also beats most big trucks, the saving of gas over the larger units is very good, And gas in Canada costs an arm and a leg to fill up your vehicle. Dokato is in my opion the best all around truck on the market.

Goodyear tires are good tires. They just make different qualities. The ones on the Dodge are probably just a softer tire. The advantage is more grip, but the disadvantage is less mileage. Goodyear also sells higher mileage tires, but I prefer Michelin if I can find it (or afford it).

Thanks for the other comments. Good to know you can go 95,000 miles with almost no problems.
