Transmission failed at 60,000 miles.
Truck was always "noisy". Never a smooth ride.
In each maintenance period I seem to constantly find additional items why I will not purchase another Dodge.
Very poor design -- Such as:
(1) One can't lower the spare tire because the bumper hole is not in alignment with the mechanical gearing.
(X) Today, I find no radiator drain plug to be change radiator coolant.
It just keeps going. Very sad.

Every automaker has their quirks. Dodge is not known for transmissions, but I would rather replace a transmission once than be nickle and dimed by all sorts of parts. I had a 95 Dakota SLT 3.9L and the only problem it had was the brakes and exhaust and that was only because the old guy that had it never drove it and it sat for so long. Did you ever consider that the trans might have gone out simply because of the way the truck was driven?
