Suspension bush (it cost £10 to replace).
The best car I've ever owned, and by far the most reliable. It goes pretty well if you use lots of engine revs but as the engine is rather rough, this is not a very relaxed experience. I will definitely buy a Ford next time, probably a Focus (I want something a bit more nimble).
I own a 1993 L reg Ford Mondeo and it is weapon-like. I have a 1.8 R-reg Escort GTI engine in her, putting out 135bhp. It now has a 0-60 of about 8.5 seconds. She will keep up with Vauxhall Cavalier SRI 2.0 16v models no bother.
The engine I have is smooth and loves the high revs. The fuel economy is fantastic. I think it was well worth the money I spent!!!
