"A smile on four wheels that goes as fast as you want to go"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Nothing so far. I have some damage to the rear driver side bottom leather seat cushion that looks to be from some external source, not failure of upholstery.

General comments?

I bought this car off the internet after driving a couple locally. I had a dealer check it prior, and they seem to have been thorough as I have had zero problems so far. My suggestions to potential Z buyers: have the car checked prior to purchase. I bought mine from an old fart like me (50-59 year old) who took excellent care of it.

I bought this car for my wife and to drive on weekends. It handles very well and has a nice ride, even at speed. I am impressed at how solid it feels at speed with the top down.

I have owned many cars from a '57 Bel Air convertible, a '69 Vette roadster, a couple of Fiat 124 Spyders, etc, and this one is the most fun so far.

This car is fun, fast and fairly priced. It goes around a corner as fast as I want to go (I've waxed several crotch rockets with no sweat) and is pretty quick for a stock car. I can outrun almost any stock car from a stand still or at 80 + mph. This is a poor mans Vette and a lot safer than my '63 small block nova rag top. Are there better cars? Yes, but not at this price. As an added bonus, I can haul my two teen age sons and wife, who are all smiling as we haul butt down the highway.

This is a Z28 review I can agree with. I am the reviewer of the 1998 six cylinder Camaro. The title of my review is "6-cylinder sports cars suck."

I am so jealous and envious of people who have 8-cylinder Firebirds, 8-cylinder Camaros, and even 8-cylinder Mustangs. If you read my review, I forgot to mention that the only reason I got a 6 instead of an 8 was because I listened to my family members when they said I should get a fairly new 6-cylinder Camaro with "low miles" so it'd be reliable. It was either that or get an 8-cylinder I-ROCZ for thousands less. I should've gone with the older 8-cylinder Camaro. I wasn't thinking for myself... I'm now 27 years old and am still waiting to have that 8-cylinder...

But anyway, yes, I do agree with you about the speed and power of the 8-cylinder. I test drove a few Z28s after I already got that 6-cylinder and I am so regretful about my car buying experience I had every time I remember all the times I test drove those Z28s... They are fast, big, powerful, fun, and bigger than most sports cars.
