We had trouble with the oxygen sensor several times. All kinds of trouble with the transmission slipping. And we went through 3 air conditioning evaporator coils.
I think I spent more time driving to and from the dealer than anywhere else in the 2 years we owned the wretched thing.
There were many days the Jeep just died in morning rush hour traffic or just wouldn't start after work.
When this car ran (which wasn't often) it felt great. But even that wasn't enough to keep me from despising it.
I will never EVER buy another vehicle from Jeep or Chrysler as long as I live. This car was a complete lemon and neither the dealer we bought it from, nor the other 2 local Jeep dealers would help us. They even tried to weasel out of taking care of recalls. I HATED this car. And to think, we bought it for a safe, reliable snow vehicle.
I was the proud owner of a 2002 g j cherokee laredo, but paint is peeling on hood drive shaft has to be replaced, less than 7,000 miles no help from dealer or chrysler if anyone has info how to get this taken care please email me at rees_6@yahoo.com so regretful I traded my gmc for this.
A new Jeep under warranty and they WON'T Cover the peeling paint problem? What did you do to the car during those 7,000 miles?
According to the information you provided you bought a two year old Jeep with 15,000 miles on it. I have gone 203,000 in the same car I bought new with none of the problems you have had. Might I suggest that you, 'Were Taken', when you were sold the vehicle. If the tranny is slipping my guess is the odometer was rolled back, and the first owner (s) beat the livin' Krap outta the thing, then sold it to you! Was this a 'Certfied Pre-Owned'?
