1990 Daihatsu Rocky SE from North America - Comments

"Worth the price!!!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Air cleaner removed by the previous owner.

General comments?

Small, but handles good.

No rustthrough, which was surprising.

Replaced front brake pads, which were cheap.

No radio or AC that works.

Got it cheap and it starts easy.

I like it and I wish there were more to choose from in the States.

Guys/Girls, don't look down on Rocky until you see some modifications I've done to mine (93's). I rebuilt the car for hunting and some fun adventure off-road purposes. The fiberglass roof was put to rest, replaced with seamless steel frame to hold a made-to-order soft top. A custom roof-rack with erectible support for watching the "prey, also made from seamless steel. It also can seat two adults. The original front bumper was also replaced by a custom-made ARB-like steel bumper, complete with collapsible hog carrier. Imagine the extra weight it carries. With it's stock engine and gearbox it can carry 4 adults and 3 hogs strapped on its modified front bumper while climbing a slippery red-soil tracks. The engine is strong enough to support the load, but cannot expect >80km/h on highway.

If interested email me to riu@cbn.net.id then I'll send you some photos.
